IBM Mainframe Systems Programmer

IBM Mainframe Systems Programmer - Unique opportunity to use your IBM Mainframe Systems Programmer experience supporting the FDIC. Currently running a Series 9672, but there is a Z-9 being shipped in that will be implemented. The FDIC environment utilizes the latest in IBM Mainframe and storage technologies including EMC Symmetrix and StorageTEK tape library silos and the planned deployment of Z-9. The selected professional will mentor Operations personnel and work with Operations Manager to improve their skill sets. Installation/implementation/maintenance of the following software products: applying PTF's and fixes as needed and for a z/OS Operating system. Responsible for system problem diagnosis, resolution, and post-mortem documentation for the system performance issues including CICS, and other OEM products that the team supports. Analyze systems performance and report recommendations to management; produce tailored reports for Management from monitoring tools. Perform system load balance and weight adjustments when required.

IBM Mainframe Systems Programmer - To qualify for this position you must meet the following requirements: • Must be US Citizen • Must pass extensive criminal and credit investigation • Have 10 years minimum experience working with the following: • TMON/MVS/CICS/DB2 • JES2, ICKDSF, FDR, SAR, QUICKREF, FILEAID, LIBRARIAN, PANVALET or comparable product, • PDS/E, SYNCSORT, ENDEVOR,CA-1 (TMS), STK HSC, IBM Z/series CPU’s, ACF2, SYNCSORT, JCL, UTILITIES, • VSAM, MIM, ACF/VTAM, SOLVE, NETVIEW, SNA, TCP/IP, ABENDAID, SMF, RMF, MICS, OMEGAMON/MVS, OMEGAMON II, VPS ,HSC, EASYTRIEVE, CLIST, ASSEMBLER • 10+ years working knowledge of multiple LPAR and SYSPLEX configurations. • Must be able to demonstrate hands on skills with: • z/OS internals including SYS1.PARMLIB modifications, SMP/E Product installs, upgrades and fixes, JCL and Utilities, IDAMS, CLIST, VSAM, CICS tables, CA and other OEM software. • BMC/Mainview product support • Control-M/O • and CICS support a plus • Experience utilizing and developing system automation software scripts • system shutdown/start-up of all address spaces • syslog message handling • Knowledge of ICF Catalog’s problem diagnosis and recovery • Disaster Recovery team for complete system recovery. • Microsoft Office Word/Powerpoint/Access/Outlook.
