Government Sales Manager - Electrical

Grow market share with Federal, State, and Local governments with electrical products.

Grow business with the Defense Logistics Agency, through the use of the Prime Vendor Program.

Promote sales of electrical products to new & existing Federal Agencies through the GSA Program.

Promote the sale of electrical products by adding new customers through the US Communities program.

Establish and maintain contact with top management of principal accounts.

Develop and maintain principal supplier contact, as deemed necessary to achieve budgets and goals.

Recommend suppliers, stocks and breadth of stocks required to support selling efforts in the territory.

Report market conditions, competitive pricing, etc to Branch Manager.

Support Financial Department policies and help in achieving the company’s objectives.

Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Experience:
Two to four years’ industry-specific experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Broad knowledge of electrical products and pricing.
Proven ability to learn our business and to work independently to achieve goals.
Negotiation skills along with ability to sell and be persuasive.
Broad knowledge of business administration, sales and marketing.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Must customarily and regularly engage in work away from company’s place of business.
Must be able to drive vehicle.
Knowledge of products and services highly desired.
Understanding of the Federal & state procurement processes is a plus.
