GIS Project Manager

The GIS IT Project Manager will manage the GIS Technology Migration project, a major IT Capital Improvement Project that will upgrade the Utility’s GIS database, software and applications to vendor supported versions. The IT Project manager will manage multiple sub-projects under the umbrella of the GIS Technology Migration project and may include initiating and managing procurement and vendor management processes. The Project Manager will work with business customers to translate customer requirements into formal agreements and plans to conclude in customer acceptance of results. Plans, monitors, adjusts and controls project plans. Develops and manages project budget, performance, scope, schedule, issues, risks, quality and appropriate business measurements. Identifies, organizes, and leads team in initiating, planning, controlling, executing and closing tasks of project to produce required deliverables. Resolves issues of scope, resource availability, resource expertise, budget constraints and deadlines. Prepare, participate in, and respond to project reviews.

Responsibilities:
1.Develop & update Project Plans
2.Lead and develop application lifecycle deliverables in support of project
3.Complete and coordinate Citywide and Utility IT Project governance deliverables
3. Coordinate and define activities of project resources to ensure completion of project deliverables
REQUIREMENTS
BA degree, 10 years in IT services with 5 years in senior project management role.
Familiarity with Geographic Information System applications and technologies preferred but not required.
