Document Scanner

Federal contractor, JHT, seeking experienced Scanner to support the federal printing office at NAS Jacksonville.


•Separate document by type, e.g., DO 1348, DO 250, etc. Separate multiple page documents from single page documents
•Ensure all paper clips, staples and other fasteners are removed
•Sort individual document types by size of the document
•Scan source documents and ensure each document is scanned
•Interact with scanning software to indicate when a batch is complete
•Pickup source documents and ensure scanned documents are returned to the customer pickup area
•Perform quality assurance and review images/indices to ensure extracted data is correct
•Perform quality assurance of documents that have been flagged by the system
•Provide monthly processing information for billing
•Performs other tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
•2 or more years experience in an electronic printing production environment with a working knowledge of industry standard software and practices
•Experience operating document scanning/conversion equipment
•Experience utilizing software for scanning and OCR
•Proficient in the use of web browsers
•Experience using Microsoft Windows 2000 and XP
•Must be able to type 30+ words per minute
•Attention to detail is required
