Disaster Safety Officer

The Federal Emergency Agency (FEMA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is recruiting Disaster Safety Officers to deploy to disaster locations throughout the nation. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 yrs. experience is required, preferably Occupational Safety and Health; Construction, environmental, fire, or industrial experience is also desired. Conditions of Employment: Ability to travel intermittently for a minimum of 30 days anywhere in the US and its territories. This is a part-time, on call position that requires travel within 24 to 48 hours of activation notice; Ability to perform well in arduous working conditions; Attend mandatory (1 week) annual recertification and other recertification requirements.
