Disaster Recovery Project Lead

The Disaster Recovery Project Leader is responsible for assessing corporate risks to information systems, determining disaster recovery requirements, providing cost-benefit analyses to justify investment in controls to mitigate risks, recommending strategies to meet those requirements, coordinating the development of plans and the acquisition of resources, and the preparation and execution of the testing of those plans. In addition, this individual will be the technical lead in the design, development, and implementation of an IT Disaster Recovery Architecture that is in direct support of the information systems plans and will provide for new technology insertion into the corporate networks that will enhance corporation's ability to survive any interruption in business. Become fully versed in new initiatives for disaster recovery methodologies and coordinate and develop the division plans fully business continuity and return to operations. Responsible for developing budget, staffing, project plans, coordinating the required staff activity, and maintaining the disaster recovery plans and schedules.
A minimum of ten years experience with Information Systems to include at least three years experience in disaster recovery design, implementation and operations is required. A Bachelors Degree or equivalent is required; business continuity professional certifications preferred. This individual must have demonstrated experience developing project plans for complex projects utilizing diverse teams and resources. Experience should include prior successful development and implementation of corporate disaster recovery plans. A broad technical background that includes voice and data networks, computer systems, operating systems and business systems along with expertise in technical security analysis, risk analysis and testing.
