Correctional Officer

Openings currently exist in Nashville (Davidson County), Henning (Lauderdale County), and Tiptonville (Lake County).

JOB DESCRIPTION: State correctional officers perform correctional duties at various state prisons involving the custody, transport, and rehabilitation of inmates. Officers may be assigned to any work shift.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants will be required to meet the following standards:

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Be a US citizen.
Have a valid drivers license.
Have no conviction for a felony.
Be of good moral character.
Successfully pass the correctional officer test.
Successfully pass a medical/physical examination.
Successfully pass a psychological examination.
Successfully complete basic correctional officer training.
Successfully pass a drug screen.
Have your fingerprints put on file with the state police (TBI).
SALARY: The entry level salary is $1,922.00 monthly/$23,064.00 yearly. Equipment and uniforms will be furnished. One meal will be furnished for each shift worked.
