Responsible for installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle 10G Application Server and Oracle 10g databases on Intel hardware running Linux 3.x/4.x and HP-UX 11 operating systems. Primary job activities surround a 7x24 utilities application, Banner/Advantage. This position will work directly with IT Banner/Advantage personnel assisting with design, upgrade, performance, and security tasks. This position will assist the Banner/Advantage team with application server and database administration. Administration duties include backup/recovery, security, job creation and scheduling, replication using data guard, sizing, and planning. Ideal candidate will have a BS degree in computer science or a related field, 5 years Oracle DBA experience in a highly available Unix/Linux environment using data guard, preferably with a Utilities background using Banner/Advantage application. This job will include both Oracle DBA and Oracle Application Server duties.Note: Job # 70027 must be included on resume or City Application Form in order to be processed.
REQUIREMENTS
