Provide the Air Force Transformation Center systems and network engineering expertise. Translate functional and technical requirements and specifications into engineering drawings and implementation plans. Assist with implementation of systems and network configurations, assess technical viability of all configurations and provide recommendations.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Responsible for:
Develop engineering plans for AF Transformation Center projects to include spiral development programs, demonstrations, tests and evaluations, and special projects
Dynamically edit and implement engineering plans revisions to meet event changes occurring during execution.
Interface with functional project managers, configuration managers, systems program offices and network/systems administrators to determine engineering and resource requirements for all projects
Provide engineering plan expertise to develop development and operational test plans and security certification & accreditation
Ensure AF Transformation Center assets (networks/systems) are implemented in accordance with developed engineering plans and specifications
Provide proper configuration management and control of all engineering hardcopy and electronic documents and drawings
Participate in assessment activities as required to include providing assessments and end of activities reporting and recommendations.
Prepare and staff Service Level Agreements (SLA) or Memorandums of Agreement (MOA) supporting the technical implementation of events
Coordinate the logistical quoting, sourcing, and procurement of hardware, software and technical manpower resources required to support events working with Project Leadership, Electronic Systems Center, and vendors
Lead and support the technical interchange and planning meetings with industry, government and academia for the accomplishment of events.
Conduct functional risk, timeline and resource analysis to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications needed to conduct the event
Prepare briefs, training material, engineering trade studies and lessons learned documentation for internal and external agencies on engineering solutions used to support an event.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Degree Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3 years experience with systems engineeringRelevant Experience (amount and type):
Demonstrated background interfacing with project personnel to translate functional requirements and specifications into engineering drawings and plans
Proven history interfacing with system management and network support engineers to ensure that system support requirements are in place such that a valid operational environment for the system is established
Ability to document baseline configuration requirements and capturing configuration changes necessary for successful systems implementationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with the Air and Space Operations Center Weapon System
Familiarity with the AF Transformation Center mission and projectsWORKING LOCATIONS & ADDITIONAL INFO
