Senior Production Operator

Purpose:
The Senior Production Operator is responsible for supporting the direct mail functions in the Lettershop department. Responsibilities include: machine set up, monitoring machines during runs, assisting in training and coaching Production Operators; inspecting the contents of inserted packages to verify insert accuracy for all version and/or zone changeovers; checking the quality of inkjetting and verifying the bar code by decoding it to ensure accuracy; checking the quality of sorting to ensure the packages comply with USPS regulations and advertising products are prepared and distributed to the destinations requested. Individuals will also learn how to establish and promote a safe work environment for the department, inspect the work area daily and provide daily productivity reports to the Lettershop Supervisor.
