Process Engineer - Evaporators

My client, an engineering firm dedicated to equipment suppliers in the industrial water and wastewater treatment industry, needs a process engineer experienced in the design and application of evaporators. The company is well known in the industry and works closely with most of the major equipment manufacturers to translate needs into specifications and then offer advice on design and layout and even part manufacturing. This has really been a growth industry as the equipment is used in power generation and the manufacturing of petrochemicals, electronics, pharmaceuticals, steel, pulp and paper and others. My client's expertise is highly sought after, and business has been growing rapidly. The new process engineer will help support that growth.

The process engineer will work with client companies to determine evaporator requirements for various projects, and he/she will be involved in their design and fabrication. And he will participate in testing and any modifications necessary in the processing/treatment of water for the particular application it was built for. You will not build evaporators, but rather determine how the evaporator must be designed to function effectively and efficiently for its intended use.

The successful candidate will be a Chemical Engineer with at least five (5) years experience with evaporators in one or more of the above mentioned industries. You must be able to study an operation and its water source either through documentation or direct customer contact to determine how an evaporator would need to be designed to yield the intended result. Expected compensation should be in the $80,000 to $90,000 range but could be more or a little less depending on the amount of direct industry experience. There are very good benefits and advancement potential. You would work out of an office a little south of Milwaukee, WI. Travel could be about 25%.
