Manager, Substations

MANAGER, SUBSTATIONS (4465)Responsibilities: Supervise 15-20 engineers and technicians in the design, evaluation, construction and maintenance of substations and field services equipment. Support operational functions of the operations field services section and provide assistance in planning. Supervise the design and implement substation circuitry. Interface with consulting engineers on projects. Evaluate electrical, mechanical, civil, structural designs and drawings submitted by internal and external personnel for errors and standardization. Design and implement relay settings. Evaluate Bid results from a technical and/or financial perspective. Coordinate and/or perform as built/print update tasks. Respond to equipment failures and operational issues associated with the Operations Field Services Section. Assist in the development of short term and long term planning. Assist the Generation Plants and the T&D section with electrical issues/problems.

Qualifications:
BSEE or BSEET and at least 5 years current substation experience is required. Must have supervisory experience and a strong knowledge of substation control & relay circuitry and maintenance techniques associated with substation equipment. Must also possess the ability to analyze engineering proposals associated with substations.

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000
