The Laborer assists Facility Operations staff and works independently in maintaining facilities, equipment, and properties.Education/Learning Experience:
Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
Desired: Previous maintenance or grounds keeping courses.Work Experience:
Desired: Past experience in maintenance, grounds keeping, construction, or related type of work.Skills/Knowledge:
Required: Ability to operate commercial grounds keeping equipment. Mechanical aptitude, ability to work with others, and is able to understand and follow instructions.
Desired: Demonstrable skills in one or more of the work experience skills.Licenses/Certifications:
Required: Valid drivers license.
Desired: Job related certifications.Physical Requirements/Demands of the Position
Frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions. Majority of duties involve work in hot, dirty, and noisy conditions. Regularly climb ladders, lifts up to 80#, good sight, hearing, and ability to perform in tight places by reaching, bending, and twisting with good body mechanics.
