Blending / Processing Technician

Blending/Processing Technician – 2nd & 3rd Shift
REQUIREMENTS
Dump ingredients in batch quantities per Formula Blend Sheets. Process batch via HTST equipment and route product into pasteurized holding tank or directly to the filler as required. Standardize batch and check specifications with QA. Route processed product in tanks to filling equipment and provide tank, line, and filler sanitation before and after all products. Coordinate efforts with Quality Assurance staff to insure product is within customer specifications and free of defects. Maintain records that document batching/processing for Quality Assurance reports and usage/yield reports.

Must have the ability to maintain Good Manufacturing Practices, safely operate a forklift, make necessary numerical calculations, and work independently.
Ability to follow Formula Blend Sheets and make necessary numerical calculations to adjust batches to specifications. Ability to complete written form(s).
Ability to safely operate forklifts, yard tractor, ingredient dumping equipment, HTST processors, pumps, agitators, and air, steam, and glycol cooling systems in plant.
Ability to stand on feet for long periods.
Ability to handle ingredients manually. Frequent lifting, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and carrying involved in task.
