Account Manager, Industrial Segment

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:Responsible for the direct sale of Solectron services to targeted Industrial Segment accounts. Provides management with information used to evaluate sales opportunities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Identify and pursue target accounts and determine potential customer opportunities in assigned geographic sales territory (South Central Region)for the Industrial segment.2. Develop business plan to identify prospective customers and/or key divisions to initially penetrate and grow business in target accounts.3. Target and win business in the accounts assigned to maximize revenues and enhance customer satisfaction.4. Provide technical and administrative services information, demonstrations and quotes.5. Work with Solectron support teams to drive tactical plan.6. Work with pre and post sales support teams to ensure the optimal customer solution is defined (presales) and delivered (post sales).7. Regularly interact with executives of major prospective customers, involving customer negotiations or influencing and persuading other senior level managers.8. Manage and support prospect tracking and sales forecasting.9. Travel as required.
Education / ExperienceTypically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of sales/account management experience. Master degree preferred. EMS industry sales / account management experience strongly preferred.
