Job Responsibilities:
General Dynamics seeks a highly qualified EHS Professional with extensive experience in management and implementation of environmental, health and safety regulatory compliance. Primary job responsibilities include administering all phases of environmental compliance. Job duties include preparation and submittal of applications and regulatory reports for air permits (New Source Review permits, State Operating Permits, and Title V permit), and water permits (SPCC, SWPPP and Sewer Use Permits), Tier I and II forms, Form R's (Sara 313), registration of above-ground storage tanks, training in accordance with associated Stormwater Pollution Prevention and Spill Containment and Control plans, conducting and/or scheduling Quarterly storm water inspections, and supporting on-site inspections with Federal, State and Local authorities, as well as participating in facility programs such as HAZWOPER team, Management Reviews of EHS Management System, and Monthly EHS Committee Team Meetings. Maintain effective communication with regulatory agencies in negotiating facility compliance through the most cost-effective means available.
Familiarity with EPA and DOT regulations including CAA - Title V, RCRA, CWA, EPCRA, TSCA, SPCC, and SWPPP required. Of equal importance, cost effective compliance of environmental issues involving wastewater discharge, hazardous and solid waste process reductions, regulatory review of potential environmental impacts on both federal and state level, and air pollution control process improvements. Knowledge of ISO-14001 Environmental Management System preferred.
Required Education:
BS in Engineering or related Environmental Science.In depth knowledge of EPA regulations and Environmental Management Systems.
Required Work Experience:
A minimum of 4-5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or regulatory position with working knowledge of environmental statutes and regulations. Other Desirable Requirements:
Safety and health experience ranging from workers compensation management, training and audits, incident and injury investigations, subcontractor environmental and safety training, and case management desired.
