For more information, visit http://www.hotwire.com/.The Sr. Product Analyst will have responsibility for budgeting and forecasting overall product conversion as well as financial modeling and understanding of the impacts that changes to the site will bring. He/she will need to integrate a number of data sources, including web analytics, data warehousing, and third-party research to form an overall assessment of new project impact.The Sr. Product Analyst will have contact with a number of senior business owners at Hotwire and will need the ability to communicate findings and insights effectively at all levels of the organization. This role requires the ability to work independently and to quickly deliver results in a time-sensitive environment.
Core ResponsibilitiesPrimary driver for monthly/annual conversion, financial forecasts
Responsibility for ongoing business monitoring, reporting and presentation to Senior Management
Analytic support of product management and new product development
New opportunity identification and quantificationRequirementsProven ability to frame problems and structure analysis, and deliver conclusions/insights
Strong analytic drive, with a focus on impact and business results
Strong business judgment and demonstrated ability to probe, drill and analyze elusive problems with minimal supervision
Solid understanding of financial and operations reporting (e.g., dashboards and management reporting). Previous experience with financial forecasting a plus
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to all levels of the organization.
Ability to thrive in a flexible, team-based environment and ability to learn/adapt quicklySuperior Microsoft Excel financial modeling and data analysis skills.
Experience with large complex data sets using one or more of the following preferred: Oracle SQL, Microsoft Access, web analytic tools, Visual Basic. Advanced programming skills a plus
Minimum education requirement: BA degree in Economics, Mathematics, or related discipline
Minimum years of related experience: 3-5 years
