Description:

This position is the key Human Resources leadership role for our Phoenix, AZ and remote Monrovia, CA facility; and reports to the Human Resources Manager who is based in Los Angeles, CA. The individual in this role will provide on-site direction, guidance and coaching to approximately 100 employees in Phoenix as well as approximately 60 remote employees in California.

The Senior HRBP will be the first point of contact and responsible for all day-to-day human resources generalist functions; proactively manage employee relations in support of business objectives and best practices in an effort to resolve job-related problems and/or concerns ensuring confidentiality and demonstrating resourcefulness; coach and counsel employees and supervisors on policy and procedures; be a thought partner for compensation recommendations; track project goals and tasks reporting on progress; administer the performance review program to ensure effectiveness and equity with the organization; and manage employee change forms as needed according to guidelines.

The Senior HRBP will consistently apply and balance the business partner and employee advocate function while providing basic and detailed information to employees, supervisors and management. In addition, (s)he will provide employee and management training as needed. This individual will identify and implement best practices to align, partner and collaborate with a team of Human Resources Business Partners across the network to ensure that our high standards of service and commitment to our clients are met consistently. Leadership and a commitment to providing the highest standards of excellence and proficiency as a business partner will be vital in this position.

Using his/her communication, collaboration, business and organizational development skills; (s)he will manage a variety of projects with competing needs and requirements without losing sight of priorities and overall objectives. In addition to their partnering capabilities, their exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will support them in their daily interactions with employees at all levels allowing them to engage successfully with physicians, sales professionals and laboratorians alike.


Requirements:


The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of six years experience in an HR business partner role including a minimum of two years working with federal, local state and California labor laws and regulations. Travel to California will be required at a minimum of once per month for a period of approximately three days in length. Travel may be required on short notice due to changing business needs and requirements.
