Senior Business Process Analyst

Hours/Schedule: 8:00 AM -- 5:00 PM Description: Facilitates Business Requirements Definition
Reviews and analyzes business/operational functions to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, improved work methods, and cost containment through process improvement and re-engineering efforts.
Identifies and documents recommended enhancements to work procedures and related tasks and forms, using business line interviews, document analysis, task and workflow analysis, and JAD sessions as appropriate.
Through the use of business process modeling, design proposed business processes.
Works with business areas to gain consensus on key requirements and the design of the new business process.

Develop cost-benefit analyses for process engineering initiatives.Business Support:
Provides expertise to the business lines, service providers on business process management.
Serves as Facilitator in the development of process engineering initiatives.
Analyzes existing business processes, identifying areas of opportunity for improvement.
Assists business lines in developing metrics to drive the successful implementation of business process engineering initiatives.
Assists business lines in developing/documenting business rules which will drive process/workflow automation.
Participates in requirements prioritization.
Identifies processes which can be improved through the use of enabling technology.
Developes effective relationships with the business, influencing and assisting others to ensure successful execution of process engineering efforts.
Performs continuous monitoring and update to ensure that implemented processes meet changing business needs. Recommends adjustments as necessary.Testing and Certification:
Works with business lines to verify and validate requirements for process design.
Works with business line in documenting, testing, and certifying the business rules used in workflow automation.
Participates in peer reviews of workflow specification documents.
Develops standards and best practices for process modeling and documentation efforts.Builds the BPM Discipline and champion the concept, within the business lines.
Develops standardized methods, techniques, and notations.
Defines standardized levels of detail in process models.
Develops a consistent process framework, leveraging knowledge for re-use across process engineering initiatives.
Researches and recommend tools and techniques to improve the process reengineering effort.OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares reports of activities and status of work assignments for management.
Develops and enhance skills related to process improvement, with a focus on current practices, technology and techniques; enhanced operational efficiencies; and improved customer satisfaction.
Incorporates Wilmington Trust Company standards and procedures in all work.
Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent training and/or work experience. MBA preferred.
7-10 years of strong business line experience with in-depth knowledge of the profit drivers.Broad financial experience in the following areas:
Investment management, mutual funds, trust funds, asset allocation, and portfolio management.
Stock market trends, strategies and processes.
Private financial services, financial planning, and accounting.
Financial transaction processing, asset and wealth management.
Trust, custody processing.
Financial risk, regulation and compliance.Communications:
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to facilitate group sessions, deliver presentations and gain consensus.
Ability to rapidly develop productive relationships with both technical and business people, at all levels of the organization.
Excellent interviewing and observational skills.
Excellent documentation skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business communications and governmental regulations.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community and technology associates.Mathematical Skills:
Ability to comprehend and perform financial analysis and apply mathematical concepts such as cost/benefit, ROI, NPV. Excel formulas, etc.Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in the use of personal computers and software packages (such as Microsoft Office).
Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in the use of all modeling tools such as Visio.
Understanding of the software development life cycle.
Reasoning ability.
Strong analytical ability and logical thinking.
Ability to recognize patterns and conceptualize processes.
