Senior Business Information Analyst

Meet with the business user community as directed to discuss the requirements for information needed to be extracted from the database, Unix, or mainframe systems. Conduct research projects to refine and anticipate user needs.
Prepares data according to the needs of the end-users, Client, or department including providing downloads of information for the end-user or client for further use in developing complex reports which may require data manipulation and analysis. Maintains all extracted profiles. Modifies profiles as necessary to meet the needs of the end-user or department.
Independently assumes general research and computer programming projects that are assigned to the MIS Department. Serve as a resource for other analyst to draw from.Reviews the work of the Associate Analyst and provides mentoring when assigned.Possibly serve as a team leader of larger project teams and conduct peer reviews.
Solve technically complex programming projects in assigned area. Translates loosely defined business problems into a set of objective, criteria and logical specifications so a programming solution can be developed. Develop, tests and writes highly complex application programs, queries and profiles according to specification. Modify existing programs as necessary to meet the needs of the business or client. Maintain and shares libraries of efficient and effective programming techniques with analysts across the organization.

job Requirements



Senior Analyst with at least 5 years of Mortgage experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field

Minimum of five years computer programming experience as a Senior Analyst or equivalent in a mortgage service environment

Master’s degree desirable

Advance SAS programming skills and proficiency in one or more computer programming languages preferably COBOL, SQL, Oracle, HTML, Unix, or TSO/ISPF

Business rule definition, the ability to actively listen, interview end-users or clients, and apply information from meetings to complete tasks

Mathematical and statistical aptitude

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

Good written and verbal communication skills

Working with management to monitor and distribute daily workload to support the Operational Service areas and the Default Service areas MIS reporting

Work on various projects

Assist with special project, and documentation as determined by management
