Program Manager - SEO/SEM

Position is responsible for the day-to-day campaign management of company Search Engine Optimization and/or Search Engine Marketing objectives. Candidate will develop standardized reports to monitor, track, and report on all organic traffic metrics. This includes:
Tracking sources driving organic traffic to company auto site.
Top keyword ranking by category.
Number of inbound links.
Number of pages indexed in each engine for us and our competitors.

Candidate will work closely with other SEO strategists and management to help build quarterly objectives and prioritize the list of projects to meet those objectives. Candidate will set the direction and strategy for overall search optimization performance which includes:
Providing risk/reward models for Search Engine recommendations.
Analyzing the opportunity for growing Channels’ organic traffic in Google, Yahoo and MSN.
Continually monitoring new advancements in SEO and evaluating their risk/reward if implemented on company site, given current traffic patterns.
Proposing new measures to track and report.
Allowing maintenance of a clear understanding of company progress, strengths and weaknesses, regarding the "spider-friendliness" and flow of search engine traffic in and out of company site network.
Understanding and communicating the major factors influencing organic search crawling, indexing and keyword ranking.
Analyzing and implementing best practices.
Working with Channel Development and Editorial teams to improve site architecture and page content.
Tracking and analyzing site performance.
Increasing referrals, and linking popularity and rankings.
Proactively presenting program recommendations and quantified benefits in order to advance program goals and objectives.
Creating and managing PPC campaigns across multiple search engines.
Expanding campaigns and increasing effectiveness by continually monitoring, testing and updating ad placements as necessary.
Analyzing trends, along with qualitative and quantitative data to recommend campaign changes and updates.
Keyword researching using available Internet tools.
Organizing and refining keyword lists.
Preparation and presentation of weekly and monthly reporting.
Management of Internet agency.
Assisting in the development, communication, implementation, training and tracking of national and local Internet marketing programs; including but not limited to SEO and SEM.
Strong interaction with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Software Giant search, and development groups in developing, communicating, implementing, and tracking national and local search engine marketing programs.

Requirements:


B.S. in technical discipline required.
Search Engine Marketing experience ideal.
MBA or equivalent business experience desired.
SEO/SEM copywriting skills desirable.
