Function: MarketingPay Type: ExemptPosition Number: 90011989 Mgr ProductEmployee Type: Full Time Shift 1Job Description: SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the facilitation of all activities necessary to achieve sales and profit objectives of each designated product category in an effort to ensure growth in volume and profit for Tyson Foods. This includes developing new product concepts and supervising prototype development, managing all aspects of the product(s) which includes inventory, packaging, financial, and distribution areas, and analyzing weekly sales information in regards to velocity, cost, and profitability. Other responsibilities include developing packaging graphics for new products, product revisions, and re-introductions, preparing an annual marketing plan including financial reviews and graphic presentations, and coordinating new product introductions with Purchasing, QA, R&D, Sales, etc. Other duties include training internal and external personnel and assisting customers in solving problems and/or answering complaints, monitoring production and inventory levels of key items to ensure adequate amounts are available to meet customer needs, and performing other responsibilities as the need arises.
