Marketing Manager

Job Overview
Responsible for creating, implementing, coordinating and directing comprehensive marketing
programs that generate qualified prospects and enhance the visibility and image of Greater
Phoenix and GPEC locally, nationally and internationally. This positon manages projects and processes, not staff.

Job Responsibilities
Provide input on marketing strategy
§Work closely with senior management to develop strategic marketing plans.
§Help develop sound marketing messages that differentiate Greater Phoenix in the marketplace
and achieve desired results.

Design, implement and integrate marketing campaigns
§Collaborate with internal staff, partners, outside contractors and advertising agencies.
§Write copy, prepare layout/design and produce a wide range of marketing and
sales-support materials.
§Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver consistent marketing messages.
§Support CEO and Senior Management in all marketing efforts.

Support special events
§Help plan and implement in-bound media tours (group and individual) and out-bound media missions to target markets to produce positive business stories about the region.
§Support executive sales missions through marketing, materials and logistical planning.
§Assist with events that bring prospects and other decision-makers to Greater Phoenix to see firsthand the business advantages and quality of life in this region.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements & Qualifications
§Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
§Goal-driven, self-motivated, persistent and professional.
§Outstanding skills in planning projects, multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.
§Exceptional attention to detail.
§Bachelor’s degree in hands-on communications, marketing, journalism or related area.
§8+ years progressive experience in marketing and/or communication activities.
§Strong writing and oral communication skills in order to target messages for
mid- and high-level decision-makers.
§Proficient in the following software or their equivalents: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; PageMaker/InDesign; and Illustrator/Photoshop.
