We are currently searching for a Human Resource Generalist/Employee Relations and Immigration Specialist (Bilingual) for our corporate office in Calabasas, CA.
Responsibilities:
This position provides broad Human Resource Generalist support to employees and management within ValleyCrest Companies and our four divisions. This includes employee relations, training and overall adherence to Company HR policies and procedures. This position requires regular employee interaction in Spanish. Specific responsibilities include.
•Investigate and resolve internal employee relations issues
•Investigate and prepare responses to external government agency claims of discrimination and wage & hour issues
•Represent Company at conferences and hearings related to employment claims, immigration issues and OFCCP compliance
•Partner with divisional branch contacts to implement Human Resources policies and procedures
•Partner with executives and managers to address and resolve performance and disciplinary issues
•Participate in the development and implementation of Human Resources and related policies and procedures
•Develop tools and procedures for monitoring, tracking, and reporting of employee relations issues
•Manage H2-B worker program for seasonal branches. This involves the processing of 600+ H2B workers from various countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador and Columbia with the assistance of an H2B service provider
•Act as point of contact for managers, attorneys, employees and visa processor for all non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and as the main contact to consulates and embassies
•Prepare and/or review non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions for new visas, extensions, adjustment of status and amendments in support of foreign national employees and new hires. Assist with filling out forms, writing travel letters as needed, i.e. emergency visas or humanitarian visas
•Ensure that all petitions are filed in a timely manner
•Ensure company remains in compliance with US immigration laws
•Participate in planning and implementation of special projects including Corporate employee social events
•Make presentations and provide training to managers and employees on a variety of management and employee topics

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
•5-7 Years of HR Generalist experience with progressive responsibilities
•3 years experience of visa processing
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
•Fluent in both English and Spanish (oral and written)
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Strong working knowledge of state and federal employment laws and immigration laws
•Ability to interface with all levels of staff
•PC literate including knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word programs
•Able to multitask in a team-oriented, fast paced environment.
•Must possess excellent organizational and presentation skills
•PHR preferred.
