HOA General Manager

The General Manager (GM) is an on-site manager responsible for the overall operations of the Village of Oakcreek Association (VOCA), including an 18 hole Championship Golf Course . The GM reports to the Board of Directors.

Essential Job Duties

Plan, direct and manage the day to day operations of VOCA including administration, financial management and supervision of employees.

Oversee the management of the Oakcreek Country Club Golf Course, Pro Shop, Tennis courts and Community center, the restaurant lease operation and all other facilities and real property of VOCA.

Prepare and administer the Associations' annual budget in accordance with VOCA's strategic plan.

Recruit, hire, supervise and review performance of direct reports (the administrative staff, Head Golf Professional, and Golf Course Superintendent.)

Conduct all business according to the VOCA Bylaws, AZ State Law as well as VOCA's established rules, policies and procedures.

Represent VOCA in relationships with Accounting services, Legal Counsel, and various other government and business agencies.

Act as a liaison between Membership, Personnel and the Board.

Prepare a written monthly operating and financial report for Board meetings.

Participate in various VOCA Committees as necessary.

Keep current on changes in Arizona HOA rules and regulations.

Review and file all Government reports on a timely basis.

Develop and coordinate marketing and Membership programs to promote the club's facilities to present and potential Members.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Must have demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills in a senior management capacity.

Must have effective communication skills ( this includes both written and verbal communication to Membership, Board, Committees, Employees and the community at large).

Ability to read and analyze monthly financial reports.

Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of systems necessary for VOCA operation ( e.g. POS, Peachtree, Microsoft Word, Excel, Email).

HOA Certification a plus

Championship 18 hole Golf Course management experience a plus

While performing the duties of GM; the individual is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The individual is required to stand and walk a large part of the time. He/she must have the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs.Vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
