Deputy Manager, Airport Administration
As Deputy Manager, Airport Administration Department, advises the Department Manager on Authority business, leasing, financial and administrative issues at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). Assists in planning, managing and administering programs for the preparation and negotiation of lease contracts for the development of commercial buildings and facilities by airlines and tenant developers and the lease of Authority terminal/building space and land to airlines and airport tenants. Administers the revenue producing concession and management service contracts and provides for financial, budgetary support and human resource services. Provides small purchasing, property management and other administrative services at IAD.
Manages a subordinate staff of analysts and support personnel through subordinate division managers; advises the Department Manager on all aspects of operational activities and recommends changes to policy and procedures; plans, manages, and administers the Authority's day-to-day contractual relations with airlines operating at IAD; participates in preparation and negotiation of lease contracts or amendments for new development or exchange of existing leased premises; and manages and controls overall inventory of available leased space or land area in support of these leasing actions.
REQUIREMENTS
The eligible candidate will have a minimum of seven years of airport/airline management experience in progressively more responsible positions. This experience must include property, contract and program management; human resources and budget management; and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms. A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is required.
Compensation level will be based upon qualifications and will include an excellent benefits package. Future pay increases will be based on performance.
