Contract Administrator

This position will provide purchasing contract administration and change control management expertise to turnaround and routine maintenance projects. Ensures accurate definition of requirements, coordinates or actively negotiates changes to existing agreements. Establishes and maintains an effective procurement systems consistent with company control guidelines. Establishes and utilizes a support network for timely acquisition and disposition of commodities and services required for projects while achieving maximum overall cost effectiveness.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and deploys the procurement strategy for leveraging and/or technically complex commodities and/or major projects.
- Responsible for executing complex local, regional, and national purchase agreements as well as managing their effective administration.
- Ensures accurate definition of requirements, negotiates purchase agreements, establishes and maintains an effective procurement system consistent with company control guidelines
- Interacts regularly with technically oriented internal and external customers to communicate and/or negotiate complex contract issues.
- Establishes and utilizes a site support network for timely acquisition of site managed materials and services while achieving maximum overall cost effectiveness.
- Responsible for developing long term valued supplier partnerships while optimizing the supplier base.
-Provides Ad-hoc training and guidance to less experienced contracts personnel as the situation may require. Training topics consist of, but are not limited to contract development, understanding contract clauses, terms and conditions negotiations, rate negotiations, as well as procedural and process training.

REQUIREMENTS
BS or BA Undergraduate Degree or equivalent relevant manufacturing and commercial experience required
Experience
-Typically requires 5 to 7 years manufacturing and commercial experience.
-Experience in positions requiring knowledge of purchasing, with demonstrated experience in cost control and or budget management.
-Experience in a manufacturing environment in commercial or Business related positions is preferred.
Administrative Requirements
-Progressive experience with a moderate to high level of skill in communication, initiative, work-planning competencies.
-A moderate to high level of skill in problem solving and leadership competencies.
-Good analytical skills, negotiating skills, good judgment & results orientation.
-Demonstrated computer system knowledge including spreadsheet analysis software and SAP software applications.
Commercial Requirements
-Good negotiating skills, good judgment & results orientation.
-Ability to effectively participate in cross functional commercial teams.
-Demonstrated knowledge of industrial and government purchasing regulations (UCC), price analysis, negotiating techniques.
-Demonstrated knowledge of entire Purchase to Pay process
-CPM certification desired.
