Business Analyst w/ Enterprise Projects

Purpose: TEKsystems is seeking for 2 senior Business Analysts for one of the nations largest Healthcare Providers.

They are needed for a large Pharmacy Claims and Operations Integration (COI) Program. The core objective of the program is to integrate the claims and operations systems of two merging companies. The technical objective is to migrate from the legacy mainframe system to client server and web based applications. This is an 8 track program with over a $10 million dollar budget, a dedicated Program Director and multiple Project Managers. Most of the development is done by an onshore/offshore company- US Technologies.

The Business Analysts will be dedicated to two specific tracks of the COI program... those are 1) Customer Service Application (Java web based) and 2)Prior Authorization Application (client server).

Customer Service Application: Allows the Provider's member to look up their account and link to their Pharmacy/drug eligibility and membership profile (deductibles and co pay info.) Java web based application.

Prior Authorization Applications: Used by pharmacy professionals and doctors to access member eligibility and gain authorization for prescriptions.- SQL

Specific tasks include meeting with external and internal business customers to define business requirements, documenting functional detailed business requirements, communicating business needs to technical team and Project Manager as well as the Program Manager and Directors when needed. BA's will be working on these tracks throughout the SDLC and may even be dedicated long term to the COI project.


Functional Skills:
Must have excellent communication skills- the BA's will be communicating with internal and external business customers.
Must have 5 years experience as a BA with proven track record of working on a SDLC projects as a liaison between the business and technical team.
Must have strong experience understanding and writing requirement documents.

Technical Skills:
MS Project, Outlook Calendar, MS Word
Experience as a BA on a web based application project (Java, SQL)

Pharmacy and/or Healthcare experience is a huge plus- but most important is the solid BA experience.

This is a 1 year contract to hire position.
