Benefits Manager

Program: Administration, Finance and Human Resources
Reports To: Director, Human ResourcesTake the lead in planning and managing the negotiation and open enrollment processes for domestic benefit programs including health, dental, life, retirement and disability for approximately 350 US based employees and work with the International HR Manager to coordinate some benefit programs for 400+ field staff. Counsel and advise employees on eligibility and claims issues; conduct new hire benefits orientation; serve as liaison with benefits brokers and vendors. Manage exit interview process. Serve as back-up for other HR activities/processes. Salary low to mid $60'sResponsibilities:Ensure employees are enrolled in all applicable benefit plans with appropriate documentation, process vendor invoices, report benefit cost information, manage renewal and open enrollment processes, conduct benefits surveys; analyze information and make recommendations about benefit programs and processes; communicate benefits information to employees.Qualifications:EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required; CEBS certification preferredREQUIRED SKILLS & CAPABILITIES: Knowledge of benefit regulations such as ADA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, 5500 reporting; ability to communicate with all levels of staff in a friendly, responsive manner and handle sensitive employee information confidentially; desire to take ownership of benefit programs and continually find innovative ways to improve them; ability to interpret and analyze benefit cost informationYEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 3 years in benefit administration, 2 years generalist experienceConservation International Values:
