Associate Business Information Analyst

Develop a variety of profiles, queries, and reports using statistical analysis software packages or mainframe systems. Maintain data to existing profiles in historical archives. Support members of the department by manipulating various data for quantitative research projects. Meet with end-users or clients of the business unit to discuss information needed to be extracted from the database system. Tests and write simple to moderately complex application programs, according to the specifications. Codes and changes the programs as necessary. Prepare data for the needs of the end-user or client, including the provision of simple downloads of the information to developing simple to moderately complex reports. Perform necessary maintenance of generated programs, queries, and profiles to ensure that the organization’s computer systems operate in an efficient manner. Other assigned duties as necessary.

job Requirements



Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field

One to three years experience in computer programming

Exposure to the assigned business unit preferred

Demonstrated proficiency in any of the following computer languages or software application packages: Statistical Analysis Software (SAS), COBAL, SQL, PEARL, JAVA, HTML, Visual Basic, or TOS/ISPF

Ability to actively listen, interview, and apply information from meetings to complete tasks

Mathematical and statistical aptitude

Strong interpersonal and presentation skill
