ANALYST SR. AIRLINE BUSINESS ANALYSIS

Functional Area: ProfessionalPosition Description: Support the operational groups in the search for increased efficiencies and continuous process improvement. Determine required metrics and data acquisition methods, including determination of appropriate sampling techniques. Serve as internal consultant to the organization, developing, enhancing, and maintaining various types of mathematical and optimization models (simulation, linear, or regression-based) used to assist in critical decision-making. Assist the group in determining software requirements appropriate to the tasks at hand. Provide statistical interpretation, and present results of findings to Sr. Management. Assist Operations Planning and Analysis group with subject matter expertise and establishment of strategic direction for critical performance issue tracking and information needs.

Education: Masters DegreeExperience: Not IndicatedPosition Requirements: ~MS in Operations Research or Industrial Engineering, Master’s degree in another related quantitative field, or equivalent work experience
~Advanced problem solving, self motivated, with the ability to multi-task and work effectively in an unstructured environment
~Ability to negotiate and communicate proficiently with all levels of management
~Strong presentation skills, and the ability to explain complex subjects on a more basic level
~Excellent leadership and teamwork skills with proven ability to work effectively in a variety of situations
~Ability to understand financial implications of operational decisions and develop cost-benefit studies
~Knowledge of operations modeling and programming languages required (simulations, linear programming, stochastic models)~Knowledge of airline operations a plus
