Underwriting Assistant

Rockhill Underwriting Management has an opening for an Underwriting Assistant working in the company’s San Francisco office located in the Financial District. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing the Underwriters with information necessary to make sound underwriting decisions. Key accountabilities will include:

•Participating in the underwriting process to support renewal and new business activities
•Managing account documentation (i.e., proposals, reinsurance contracts, policy change, endorsements, cancellations, etc.).
•Ensuring accurate and timely servicing and billing of accounts.
•Communicating with brokers/agencies, customers and internal departments to achieve the highest level of customer service.
•Providing administrative support and other related services as needed

The successful candidate will have:

•High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework preferred) and 3 years experience as a Primary Casualty Underwriting assistant (or equivalent combination of education/experience)
•Good time management, organizational, communication, and analytical/problem-solving skills
•Knowledge of underwriting process including rating and policy set-up
•Personal computer skills
