Senior ETL Developer



Commercial Business Group, a division of the Citigroup Global Consumer Group, is the largest financial institution providing leasing and other commercial financing products with over $30B in assets. This position is with the Data Warehousing team to support development of the common data repository. Job requires developing and deploying of ETL applications to support data warehouse initiative.





Primary Job Function:

This individual must have strong problem solving skills, SQL programming and other relational database knowledge.

SQL Server, Oracle, UDB and Erwin modeling tools are secondary but important.

Design, develop, test and place into production the ETL processes for data integration across subject areas in Data Warehouse and data mart.

Assist in structuring and implementing standard environment for ETL processes.

Experience with database query optimization and performance tuning

Documentation of development standards and practices.

Provide hands-on mentoring in the development of ETL applications and processes.
REQUIREMENTS


Skills:

3+ years of Strong ETL Administration/Development experience.

5+ years IT experience, 3+ years implementing ETL solutions in an Oracle Unix environment.

In-depth knowledge of Ab-Initio ETL development tools.

Experience in developing and maintaining large-scale data warehouses.

Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and IT management and staffs.

C, C++, Unix, Oracle development, Unix shell script.

Financial systems development experience.

Knowledge of PL/SQL programming.

Bachelors Degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience required.

Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation, are required.



Other:

Knowledge OLAP, BI Tools and Java is a plus.

Applies technical knowledge to determine solutions and solves complex problems.

Uses experience and analysis to develop creative and innovative solutions.
