Sr. AS400 Developer

We are looking for Sr. AS400 Developer in our Corporate MIS department in Scottsdale, AZ. Allied Waste is a Fortune 500 company and the second largest non-hazardous solid waste company in the United States providing collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services to approximately ten million residential, commercial and industrial customers. Representative Responsibilities
Develops and maintains AS/400 system applications.
Troubleshoots exiting programs and develops application enhancements.
Develops queries and reports to provide information to business owners as requested.
Consults with Allied Waste user community regarding enhancements and use of systems.
Works closely with Application Specialists in resolving program bugs, generating system documentation, and developing system application training.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field AND 7 years programming experience in RPG.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience with CL required.
Experience with SQL, AS/400 Query, and DBU required.
Demonstrated experience with interactive and batch processing required.
Strong oral and written communication skills required.
Ability to work in a single or multi-team environment required. Strong analytical skills and creative thinking abilities required.
Ability to project plan, monitor and implement projects in timely and cost effective methods required.
Ability to deal with rapid change required.Preferred Qualifications:
