Senior Accountant

Responsibilities: Kforce Professional Staffing is seeking a full-time permanent employee on behalf of one their San Francisco clients. This position will have accounting responsibility for a number of our investment holding, financing and development subsidiaries. The incumbent can expect to work closely with GL accountants within our group and other US-based business groups, and with corporate accounting group. Responsibilities include: full accounting and general ledger responsibility including preparation of stand alone and consolidated financial statements for multiple subsidiaries and affiliates on a monthly basis. Review and analyze financial statements with particular attention paid to operating trends, budget variances and unusual movements. Prepare, maintain, and update account analyses and reconciliations on a current basis in both US$ and foreign base currency. Ensure that: monthly, quarterly, year-end and special project deadlines and requirements are met; cash journal entries are entered on a daily basis. Maintain appropriate account reconciliations (investor balances / capital accounts), as well as any necessary schedules to support income tax filing requirements. Set up and maintain accounting and reporting for new entities and investments including research of applicable GAAP to support the accounting treatment of transactions, particularly when these may differ from local/statutory reporting requirements. Perform periodic settlement of inter-company balances. Calculate interest and principal payment obligations, prepare bank notices, analyze project and debt facilities and interact with third party bank lenders. Participate in preparation of periodic net revenue, cash and capital spending budget updates and revisions.
