Must be US Citizen
You must be able to pass a background check and able to obtain a clearance
6 months right to hire position

Army background would be a major plus

Senior Systems Engineer with Risk Management Background

*Responsibilities*

· Support proposal and business development initiatives

· Thorough knowledge of risk management theory, including strategy, assessment, planning, handling methodologies (mitigate, avoid, accept, transfer), and process implementation within systems engineering and integration to support program management

· Support the risk management implementation process by assisting in the analysis and mitigation of risks carried down to specific hardware (modular level), software (maturity, compatibility, interoperability, compliance and certification) and integration issues, coordination between program, stakeholders, the prime/lead system contractor, major vendors/team partners, other government agencies, academia and industry

· Assist the program office in integrating risk management with major program events and program management processes to minimize the cost and maximize the effectiveness of risk management activities

· Conduct in-depth independent risk assessments and mitigation planning for specific technology or program areas where there is potential for a high return on the risk management investment

· Knowledge of Defense and Army Acquisition Policies and Procedures

· Ability to develop requirements for program documents including performance specifications, statement of objectives/work, test and evaluation master plan, cost analysis requirements document and the integrated logistics support plan
REQUIREMENTS
*Qualifications*

· A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, or other engineering discipline is required. Master’s degree desired.

· 5-7 years technical experience in systems and/or network design.

· 3-5 years risk management experience
