HAVE THE POWER!Arizona Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. an electric generation utility, is accepting applications for a Power Trader. We are located in Benson, Arizona, just 45 minutes southeast of Tucson, in the historic San Pedro Valley. Schools, churches, a shopping center and country club are all within the city limits.

Power Trader
Hiring Range:$76,941 - $90,518Annual Salary

The successful candidate will economically manage AEPCO's resources and load on a 24 hr. basis - Purchase energy for savings or resale and sell excess resources on the open market for margins (Revenue), while maintaining required reserves to meet NERC/WECC guidelines.
Requirements include:
Minimum of three years
prior experience in scheduling, marketing
or generation dispatch. Knowledge of FERC, NERC,
WECC, WSPP guidelines.
Knowledge of SRSG (Reserve Sharing) guidelines. Ability to forecast load using available information.
Knowledge of WECC Transmission Grid and ability to access OASIS sites for reservation.
Computer skills in Lotus, Access, Excel and other applications associated with EMS, Tagging, Scheduling and the CAISO market.
Communication skills required to conduct business transactions with other entities.
24 hr. coverage requiring 7 x 24 shift schedule.
