Performance Improvement Specialist IV

The Performance Improvement Specialist provides solutions for clients and/or associates to improve performance and align with business initiatives. These solutions involve consulting with customers, performing needs assessments, designing and developing programs, and using technology to create tools. Additional activities include facilitation, coaching, and measuring program effectiveness.





Assignments are substantially varied and complex. Leads project teams by mentoring and monitoring team members to achieve results. Resolves the most complex issues and problems. Performs research, analyzes information, reviews and evaluates solutions and makes final decision.

Identifies training needs; may assist in determining project costs/benefits.

May assist in overseeing design and presentation of programs. Personally conducts selected programs. Designs needs assessment tools.

Conducts the broadest and most complex analytical assignments. Works with customers from initial concept to final product creation.



Reviews final product for adherence to company policy and compliance. Interprets and applies company policy. Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex creative and technical problems and issues.

Designs corporate evaluation instruments and plans and administers post-implementation review to determine program effectiveness.

Ensures cooperation and coordination with other departments in the company. Ensures that deadlines are met. Review progress with management. Trains new trainers and assists with work direction. Provides trainers with performance feedback. Stays aware of externally available programs and faculty.

REQUIREMENTS


Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in training and development. Has Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. DDI Certification a plus. Insurance background preferred.



Supervision: Works independently with minimum supervision and direction. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. Reviews progress and evaluates results.



Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong facilitation skills. High comfort level with personal computers and software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Excellent problem solving skills.
