Payroll Specialist

Job Summary:
Performs all activities necessary to process payroll for the non-union staff. This includes customer service support for employees and management as it relates to payroll, wage payment calculation and entry, system entry and maintenance for taxes, direct deposit and voluntary deduction data. Perform payroll processing and related activities. Research employee and management inquiries and provide problem resolution as appropriate. Prepare reports for other departments and managements.

Responsibilities:
Respond to employee and management inquires.
Research and provide problem resolution
Wage payment calculation and entry, system entry and maintenance for taxes, direct deposit and voluntary deduction data
Process payroll and related activities
Process company wide quarterly incentive bonus payments
Assist in the quarterly review of the wage and tax records
Assist in the annual review of the wage and tax records
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
2-3 years large employer (greater 2,000 employees) payroll experience
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
Multi-state taxation payroll knowledge
Working knowledge of Union Payroll
Ultimate Software/ Ultipro
Associate Degree or training and education beyond High School
Able to work overtime as required
