Mgr./Sr Mgr. - Economist

Part of the International MR business analysis team responsible for designing, developing, executing and presenting MR analytics. This newly formed team will focus on delivering analytical insights and strategies to the International Membership Rewards (MR) Program Management team to help drive customer engagement and loyalty while providing premium value and a superior customer experience. The position is within the Customer Acquisitions & Relationship Management (CA&RM) team (part of ICSS) and will partner closely with the International Partnerships and Rewards (IP&R) team, Customer Services International and local marketing teams.Specific duties include:

Examination of customer behaviors (e.g. spend, tenure, potential) to guide strategy development and program re-engineering

Creating program test designs to ensure measurability of marketing campaigns and initiatives

Measuring program and campaign effectiveness

Working closely with MR Program Management and local Marketing teams to ensure optimization of advertising, promotion budget and technologies investmentJob RequirementsThe successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem solving skills with a proven track record of driving results. The position requires strong quantitative skills with a solid understanding of microeconomics (advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, etc). Needs the ability to deliver high visibility analysis under tight timelines, navigate through a matrix environment, and provide influence without direct authority. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical analysis into business insights and recommendations.The ideal candidate will also be:

Familiar with charge/credit card and reward program profitability dynamics

Have a strong working knowledge of statistical analysis programming languages such as SAS, STATA, LIMDEP, etc.
