Group Objective

Schwab Operations' middle office and street-side operations functions
are critical parts of the engine that makes Schwab's business run. We
make investing and trading possible by: running the processes for
opening and maintaining client accounts; helping ensure quality
execution and settlement of tens of millions of trades; custody and
servicing of assets; and facilitating reporting and communications
for more than eight million client accounts. Never content with the

in an effort to improve systems and services to help exceed our

Job Description

To be effective in this role, the ideal candidate will demonstrate
the ability to build and sustain strong relationships with a team of
employees, peers, clients and business partners. They will be able to:


Plan, delegate and oversee the overall work assignments and special
projects within a team

Use available metric tools to manage individuals and establish
target levels for customer service, accuracy and productivity

Hire, coach, train, motivate and evaluate employees

Recommend and implement ideas and programs to improve productivity,
profitability and client service

Gather and interpret complex data and create reports to maximize
efficiency

Proactively manage risk and minimize revenue loss by following
audit and compliance procedures

Anticipate future volume trends and anticipate staffing
requirements to meet service levels



Technical/Functional Qualifications

Candidate will have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience

Series 7 & 63, 9 & 10 required

Typically 5-6 years in the securities or financial industry; 1-2
years in a leadership position

Extensive knowledge of brokerage industry policies and Schwab
Operations; ability to effectively educate others in these areas

Proficient PC skills including all Schwab platforms and applications

Excellent leadership, motivational, mentoring and coaching skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Able to articulate Schwab's Visions and Values to team members

Strong negotiation and influencing skills

Strong organizational skills including effective project
management, problem solving and conflict management skills
