JOB SUMMARY: 

 

The Senior Investor Relations Analyst reports to the VP Investor Relations of a $12B managed care corporation and provides analytic support for the investor relations mission.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitors analyst coverage and estimates, peer-group company and other industry coverage.Maintains industry data; reviews industry and economic publications, equity research reports to create materials for analyst and investor presentations.Supports and maintains earnings model. Develops models and metrics to help illustrate results.Provides financial and operational analysis.Performs detailed peer and company research.Prepares PowerPoint presentations for investor meetings and webcasts.Analyzes and reports investor activity.Provides support for the issuance of press releases.Responsible for Corporate Communications department budget.
REQUIREMENTS


REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education: 
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA highly desirable
 
Experience:  Four to six years related work experience in investor relations, finance, or accountingPrevious managed care or health insurance experience preferredGeneral insurance experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  
Very strong analytical skills; ability to multi-task; ability to work independentlySolid knowledge of accounting and financial statement analysisStrong oral and written communication skillsHigh level of organizational skills with attention to detailVery high proficiency level with PowerPoint and ExcelAbility to work under time constraints and meet deadlinesMust be willing to travel up to 15%
