PwC is seeking new to experienced audit Senior Associates to join PwC’s Fraud Risks & Controls (FR&C) specialist group within the Assurance practice. FR&C was formed in mid-2003 as part of PwC US Firm Senior Partner Dennis Nally’s "Close the Expectation Gap" initiative. The FR&C group identifies, analyzes and advises on fraud risks and antifraud programs & controls for PwC's assurance and advisory clients. This national practice also plays a large part in developing audit guidance, advising Firm leadership on fraud matters and assisting audit engagement teams with their response to heightened fraud risk situations.FR&C specialists currently work on a continually growing list of high profile audit and advisory clients. New FR&C Senior Associates will play a vital role in the development of the group with a wide variety of challenging responsibilities including consultation with clients and analyzing wide-ranging financial statement and other fraud risks. FR&C Senior Associates will receive enhanced training in the prevention, deterrence and detection of fraud as well as auditing techniques used to mitigate these risks.This position is most suited for new to experienced audit Senior Associates with a strong audit/accounting background, highly motivated attitudes, and a desire to develop a valuable, in-demand fraud specialist skillset.
REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement:
Bachelors degree - Accounting; or MBA.Essential Requirements:
Candidates should have a combination of the following:CPA or its equivalent are required. JD or CFE helpful, but not required.
Strong accounting and/or legal credentials
Experience in financial statement auditing strongly preferred.
Strong analytical skills.
Knowledge of various SEC rules and other laws (e.g., US Federal Sentencing Guidelines, Sarbanes Oxley) a plus.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
Any experience in evaluating and developing financial fraud risk and controls is a plus, but not required.
Any experience conducting fraud and/or forensic accounting investigations is a plus, but not required.
Experience in corporate governance issues is a plus, but not required.Travel (20-40% domestic) is required.
