Financial Reporting Specialist

One of Birmingham’s premier publicly-traded employers is looking for a technical accountant to join their team. This is a highly visible position that requires a strong understanding of US GAAP. A qualified candidate will be responsible for researching and evaluating accounting pronouncements and determining their impact to each area of the business. You will interact directly with the company’s top management on a daily basis, consulting with them on various issues as they relate to the company’s financial reporting. In addition, you will assist with the completion of numerous external reports including the annual and quarterly filings.
REQUIREMENTS
Only candidates possessing a CPA with 3 to 5 years experience will be considered with a strong preference to individuals with large public accounting firm experience and SEC reporting experience. Salary range will be $75k to 80k DOE.
