Escrow Officer

Title Resource Group (TRG), is a full-service title, settlement, and vendor management services company serving real estate companies, affinity groups, corporations, and financial institutions. Texas American Title Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of TRG, is currently seeking an Escrow Officer for the Clear Lake Area of Houston, TX. This position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:





Manage closing caseload and coordinate closings with lenders, builders, agents, buyers, sellers and all other parties of interest. Address and clear conditions that may be discovered in the title search including but not limited to payoffs, liens, judgments, and probate matters. Prepare HUD1 Settlement Statement and all other closing documents necessary for the transaction. Obtain clearance and approval from lenders. Order updates from the underwriter and determine clearance to close.  Perform the closing, disburse the transaction, initiate wires, issue policies, and forward closed package to lender or appropriate party for closing file maintenancewarehouseaudit.



Escrow Officer will work closely with assigned processor or closing team and will assist in marketing efforts as needed. Travel to perform closings outside of the branch may be required.



Additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS


Escrow Officer must be proficient in title insurance closings, title clearing, HUD1 preparation, closing, and funding, recording, and prepost settlement processes. The position requires min 2 years in title insurance or related industry. Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. This person must also have strong customer relation skills and be willing to assist with the sales efforts. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
