Controller

The job -
Effectively managing accounting and operating control processes along with the human resource functions for the Accounting Department is essential to our success. You will be supervising an Accounting Clerk to ensure day-to-day operations are completed accurately and on a timely basis. This includes operations control, monthly ledger closings, monthly reporting, billing and collections, payroll responsibilities, accounts receivable collections, accounts payable processing and cash management. The person in this position will direct all accounting, reporting and analysis for the company.
REQUIREMENTS
Successful candidates will possess:
. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
. Full general ledger and monthly closing experience is required
. Working knowledge of sales tax and other regulatory filing experience
. Knowledge of Quick Books helpful
. Degree and/or work for a Certified Public Accountant is a plus
. Strong work ethic and energetic attitude
. Strong knowledge of Excel and Word
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
