Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager

Classification: Temporary Compensation: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour Carlsbad manufacturing company is looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor.Duties include:
•Match receivers (with packing slips), and purchase orders to invoices, as well as ensure accuracy of source documents.
•Vouchering of vendor invoices into ERP system (Oracle 11.5)
•Systematically maintain physical vendor files (alphabetically by year).
•Work with Purchasing, Receiving, and other internal departments to research and resolve discrepancies.
•Assign general ledger accounts to non-purchase order invoices, and submit invoices for approval.
•Input employee expense reports, which includes matching receipts, verifying authorization, and ensuring compliance with company policy.
•Interface with vendors to resolve discrepancies or other payment-related issues.Weekly:
•Print and analyze Accounts Payable Aging & Invoices On Hold reports.
•Match check payments to invoices.Monthly:
•Prepare Accounts Payable accrual entry for unrecorded A/P expenses
•Vendor Statement reconciliationsYear-end:
•Coordinate outside storage for archived Accounts Payable records.Other:
•Assist in preparation of audit procedures, which may involve extracting records or preparing schedules.
•Other projects, as assigned.Qualifications:•Strong analytical skills
•Good organizational skills; detail oriented
•10 key by touch
•Basic math skills
•Working knowledge of GAAP, specifically accrual accounting.
•Basic computer knowledge
•Basic knowledge of office equipment
•Ability to handle high volume processing quickly and accurately
•Ability to work independently
•Ability to take initiative and follow through on projects
•Ability to work/communicate intelligently and professionally with all levels of management and outside parties (vendors)
