Security Manager/FSO
Full time opportunity. Candidate will be directing and maintaining the ARTEL corporate security program. They will ensure that corporate security policies conform with Defense Security Service (DSS). Candidate will manage the processing of security clearances at corporate and remote locations. They will develop programs that address new security requirements. Candidate will schedule, organize and supervise all activities involved in implementing and managing a comprehensive security and safety program for the company. Position is available for either a part time or full time candidate. The individual must interpret government regulations and assure that company facilities remain approved to conduct business with the Department of Defense and other user agencies. The position requires excellent organizational ability and leadership qualities. Candidate will be representing the company to user agencies, industrial contractors, local law enforcement agencies, and professional societies and conferences regarding security, safety, and loss prevention operations. The employee manages the security staff, including FSOs who may be located at field sites, and interacts with all levels of management, peers, subordinates, subcontractors, and persons outside the firm, including DIS representative. The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the highest level assigned to the company is required.Job Requirements:5 years related security experience required with DoD Background.TOP SECRET CLEARANCE- ACTIVE (Preference for those with TS/SCI)
In depth knowledge and experience managing all elements of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) information security, automated information systems security, personnel security, visitor control, physical security, and so forth.Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification, COMSEC Custodian Training, Operational Security Training (OPSEC), and Automated Information System Certification (AIS) are highly desired.The individual should be familiar with physical security standards (DCID 1/21) and access control and intrustion detection systems and possess basic computer security knowledge. Experience conducting investigations of security policy violations. BA/BS degree and or equivalent education or experience required. The position requires on-call availability 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
