Plant Operations Maintenance/HVAC

Department: EngineeringSchedule: Full-timeShift: Variable shiftJob Details: Works under the supervision of Plant Operations Manager/Director of Facilities Management. Repairs, replaces or installs items relating to maintenance or improvement of the physical plant and hospital facility. Responsible for the operation and safety of the mechanical systems on assigned shift. Performs other duties as assigned.PRIMARY JOB DUTIES1.Performs the rounds routine checking the operation and safety of the mechanicalsystems. 2. Performs assigned preventive/corrective work orders. 3. Performs security functions and corrects security problems if possible, or notifies appropriate person for correction. 4. Operates and services hospital equipment 5. Keeps records of maintenance up-to-date. This includes work orders, time sheets, preventive maintenance cards, equipment startup and shutdown procedures, corrective maintenance records, and other governmental required records. 6. Perform all work in a timely manner. Includes the supervision and coordination of system work subcontracted to other businesses. 7. Takes an active part in building positive work relations between members of the Maintenance Department and all other departments and staff members. Supports the operational and staff needs of the department. 8. Helps meet the financial and strategic goals of the department and hospital. 9. Performs other duties as assigned.
