Market Maintenance Technician

The Market Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the properties in their assigned market. Will be required to travel as needed to different locations within their market, and may be required to stay overnight at these locations. Will ensure work order completion on a timely basis and will respond to all emergencies and will ensure all life safety inspections are current.

Essential Functions:
Complete work orders as directed by the Market Manager in a timely fashion
Provide excellent service to both guests and property staff
Assist in training of property maintenance staff
Respond to emergency calls on a 24 hour basis
Identify and follow up on life/safety issues and inspection issues
Notify Supervisor immediately of any safety, security and/or violations of policy
Notify Supervisor of any guest concerns
Assist with completion of capital expenditure projects as needed
Perform preventive maintenance on all properties in assigned areas
Travel and/or overnight stay may be required
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and must frequently walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
A valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and a functioning automobile are required.
Proficient in the English language, both spoken and written.
Possession of CFC Card preferred
General knowledge of building codes and accepted building standards
Good knowledge of minor electrical, appliance and plumbing repair, building maintenance and light carpentry
Must provide own hand tools
Travel and/or overnight stay may be required Capable of responding to emergency calls 24 hours a day
